David is a Managing Director and joined Vector in 2013. David is responsible for the firm’s equity and credit deal origination efforts, including establishing and maintaining the firm’s relationships with company senior executives and board members, as well as investment bankers and other important intermediaries. David is also responsible for Vector’s capital markets activities. David previously served on the Board of Directors of CollabNet VersionOne.
David has spent more than 20 years working with technology companies. David was a technology investment banker for more than a decade, most recently as a Managing Director at Piper Jaffray and prior to that he worked at RBC Capital Markets and Cowen & Co. David worked closely with senior executives and board members at publicly and privately held companies to analyze and execute a variety of financing and strategic transactions, including private equity investments and buyouts, strategic sales and acquisitions, credit transactions and IPOs. David closed more than 50 transactions throughout his investment banking career with an aggregate value of more than $15 billion. David's efforts focused on companies in the software, SAAS and IT security sectors. He also has extensive experience with data and information services, systems, internet, telecom, education technology, industrial technology, homeland security, biometrics, health care IT, financial technology and semiconductor businesses. Early in his career, David was also a CPA with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Silicon Valley office.
David has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University.
