Tom joined Vector Capital in 2012 from Corel Corporation, a Vector portfolio company, where he was the VP of Tax and Treasury since July 2006. Tom works with Vector portfolio companies to ensure that they are set up in the most tax efficient manner and maintain their tax efficient structures. He is also involved in tax due diligence on new investments and works with outside advisors in structuring the acquisitions.

Prior to joining Corel, Tom led the Western Canada US tax practice for Grant Thornton for 3 years. Tom also was an international tax director at Levi Strauss in San Francisco for 3 1/2 years and prior to that spent approximately 10 years with PWC (formerly Coopers and Lybrand) in various offices in Canada and the US.
